Safer Toowoomba Partnership Inc.

Safer Toowoomba Partnership Inc. (STP), together with its appointed task group, is the local coordinator for the Energise program.

The task group comprises representatives from Toowoomba Regional Council, Queensland Health, Department of Local Government, Sport and Recreation and Darling Downs Population Health Unit.

STP is an inter-agency community based group working to promote safety throughout the Toowoomba region through needs-based crime prevention and injury prevention programs.

STP coordinates a community centre at Wilsonton Heights in Toowoomba which requires volunteers to assist in its operation.

The Chair of STP is Professor Peter Swannell, a renowned and respected member of the Toowoomba community and also former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Southern Queensland.
